How can fasciabioenergy contribute to the performance of the top athlete? Fascia possess a great adaptability and react to stresses and tensions. They react very well to the movement and their solicitation can allow to acquire flexibility. However, exercise that is too intense or poorly done can result in injury or pain. The adhesions and retractions of the fasciae may be reduced by mobilization or pressure in painful areas or found dense palpation.

Fasciabioenergy can be very useful for tendonitis, capsulitis or plantar fasciitis (fibrosis of the fascia of the plantar arch). During trauma, such as ankle sprain, for example, the fascia will tend to retract impacting the good flow of liquids (lymphatic fluid can create edema). Fasciabioenergy proves to be a privileged ally in order to find a correct tissue quality and mobility in the affected joint more quickly. The more the fascias are worked, the more they react to the solicitation and the more they gain in elasticity. This advantage allows the athlete to gain flexibility and mobility, which in the end produces increased performance. Fascia surround all anatomical structures, so any part of the body will be accessible. The action is not limited to musculoskeletal aspects. Some aspects that are worked in consultation, according to the needs: musculoskeletal, bone, neuro-vegetative, uro-genital, endocrine, digestive, cardio-respiratory ...

Moreover, unlike other fascias therapies, fasciabioenergy is concerned with the energetic dimension of the individual. Indeed, at each consultation, the acupuncture meridians are evaluated and corrected. Fascias are the gateway into the body for work on the meridians. A team of researchers led by Hélène Langevin demonstrated the link that existed between acupuncture meridians and fascias. All physical and functional disorders arise from an energy imbalance. Since the athlete is not just a pile of muscles and bones, he must be able to benefit from the most comprehensive approach possible to pull his performances upwards and preserve them over time.
